Barking Dog, Belfast

Used to be Rain city. Hotel when I arrived said restaurant waa closed (8-45pm) but the full menu was available in the bar. No-one seemed to be eating however. So I popped next door and was pleasantly surprised.

Chicken Liver paté some foie gras plus chutney and toast. Quite tasty. 2 confit de canard over green beans (11 of them) and a circle of bubble and squeak with red wine jus. Very tasty and just about enough to fill you up. A single glass of house red and it proved an enjoyable and cheap (£20) meal. Definitely go again.
