Caesar Salad

Watching Saturday Kitchen

Out of the blue Delia makes a caesar salad. And it looks ok. Follows the standard basic recipe

1 large free-range egg
1 large garlic clove, peeled and crushed
half tsp english mustard powder
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4-5 anchovy fillets
3 tbsp olive oil

Mix all in a food processor. Add to lettuce, add croutons, add parmesan. Seems easy. Crucially she made her croutons with a bit more care than I do. She added garlic, grated parmesan to them before cooking them. She also seemed to get the order of assembling the salad right. So many people add dressing last and make the croutons soggy.
