Salvia, Mirfield

Youngest son's 21st so a party of 6 went out for a slap up meal at what is probably the nearest italian restaurant to our house. Gran turned up to see her favourite grandson. Food was good almost excellent. 6 people ate and drank what they wanted including 3 fillet steaks for under £150. My steak was rare and very good indeed, It was the kind that melts in your mouth. The chilli prawns starter was a bit weak but others who had the chicken liver paté said it was very tasty. A house red and a house white and I was quite pleased with the whole event. Took a photo of 6 ft 3 in grandson next to 5 ft 3 in granma for posterity.

They do an early eater for £9-95 for 2 courses but unfortunately fillet steak doesn't appear on that menu - just pasta and pizza. Small (about 35 covers) but better for that.
