Angel, Morley

Taking future mother in law out for lunch. Novel system here. You wait for a table then order starters and drinks at the table then you queue up for your roast dinner. 20 people ahead of us in the queue and it took nearly 15 minutes to get to the front. Choice of beef, gammon, turkey plus yorkshire, stuffing, plenty of veg and spuds. The deal was as much as you could eat but only one serving of meat. Still there were some very full plates in the dining room.

When it came to puddings I asked if I could have another serving of beef and pay the price of a dessert and the waitress was bit flummoxed - "No-one's ever asked that before" so I swapped to an ice cream instead.

Just over £10 each for 4 people. Good value.
